Alas! What a hue and cry over the statement of an actress!

Yes. I am talking about the reported statement of Tamil Nadu-based actress Kushboo, supporting premarital sex. 

What people speak is what they think. If one does not speak what he or she thinks, the thought is still there. And it produces an effect in the thought plane. So, intelligent people need to create a strong thought-wall so that other people’s thoughts do not harm them. A person is considered good or bad by his words and deeds since they match with their thought. 

Thought creates everything. Human’s thought has created pens to computers. So have God’s thoughts created the universe, man and the other living beings. Pious thoughts create pious speech and vulgar thoughts create vulgar speech. 

One of my friends, a college lecturer, had a girl student, who always dreamed of snakes while asleep which tormented her immensely. When my friend came to know about her plight, he immediately told her that she would not dream snakes anymore. And the student’s snake dream came to a halt altogether. 

It was the master’s words which produced an effect on the student’s mind and stopped her nightmare. He actually used his power of thought and words on his student to end her bad dream. It was the lecturer’s integrity and truthfulness that produced the effect. Some weak people shudder and faint on hearing hard words. That is the effect of words. 

So, there may be hundreds of petty-minded lads who take Kushboo’s words as ‘Veda’ (scriptural saying). But the noble person in the society will brush her comment aside as garbage. But we must take care of the small-minded people that they shall not execute the ‘preaching’ in their own lives. 

In this particular case, the thought took the form of words only now. That such a person relishes Adharma (unrighteousness) is not a fact indiscernible. That is their very nature. Robbery and smuggling was the very nature of late Veerappan, her own countryman. 

Those who are naturally inclined to Dharma (righteousness), follow Dharma and its attributes. (Please refer to some holy books to learn what is Dharma because it is not possible for me to write them fully in this short article). And those who tend to lean on Adharma tries to practice and propagate the same. 

It is the nature of Kali Yuga that people go after the pros and cons of vile statements and give hardly any regard to the teachings of holy books like Bhagavat Gita and holy people like Mata Amritanandamayi and Sri Sri Ravisankar, which only will do good to them ultimately. 

A sex worker’s biography turned out to be the best seller in various parts of Kerala soon after its publication. So, it can be noticed that there is a decline of Dharma in the world. It is high time that noble souls set a model to the humanity by their right speech and right living. And make immoral people shut their mouth. 

Sex has been given to humans for reproduction. Physical enjoyment brings diseases in the long-term. Incarnations like Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the guru (teacher) of Swami Vivekananda, have taught that husband and wife should live like brother and sister after the birth of one or two children. What to speak of premarital sex!
