Standard HTML is best fro search engines.
This is marvelous! However standard HTML is always the
best to create web pages as we do not know the status of numerous other
search engines and their ability to index other file types. However it is a
sigh of relief that most common file types are taken care of at least by
Google.
When you are creating your site, go for a common file
type and be safe.
