these days. However since some search engines give it due importance it is
important that you include them in your pages.

While writing content, make sure it has proper
headlines. It is important for two reasons. Headlines especially towards the
beginning of the page are seen with search engines with much importance.
Head lines in the rest of the page also will be given importance by the
search engines.
With regards to the viewers, proper headlining will
give them good directions while reading through. On the web visitors don’t
have much time. Unless you freeze the moment you are not going to be able to
retain them.
Hence much care when you use headlines and use
headlines which make real sense.
About ALT tags:
ALT tags help index graphics as graphics itself can not
be indexed by search engines. Also, this very useful for visitors with
disabilities as tags help them understand the text. ALT tags can be used to
enter some keywords too as most search engines make it a parameter for
ranking the page.
