Kozhikode:
Telugu film actress Jaimala and Malayalam cine actress
Meera Jasmine both became a subject for hot discussion recently.
Jaimala claimed that she had entered Sabarimala temple and touched the
Ayyappa idol in sanctum sanctorum.
The
Kerala government and Travancore Devaswom authorities pooh-poohed the
actor's claim and said that there was no such possibility. Nobody can
enter the sanctum sanctorum of Sabarimala temple. The tight security
and the separating wall do not allow anybody to enter sanctum sanctorum
and touch the idol. Under such circumstances, how Jaimala could do
this, asks Devaswom authorties.
However the fact that how a woman entered the temple (women
between 15-55 are prohibited to enter Sabarimala temple) is a
disturbing question for Devaswom authorities.
Earlier a Devaprasnam had been conducted at Sabarimala by noted
astrologer Parappanangadi Unni Krishna Panikkar. In his findings he
said that the temple was tainted by some unholy elements presence and
urgent Karmas were needed to resolve the situation. That is the moment when Jaimala
also
came forward with her claim.
Before this controversy ended, a hot new one similar to the one
mentioned above
surfaced this time with links to actress Meera Jasmine. She had a darshan at
the famous Sree Raja Rajeswara temple at Taliparamba. Non-Hindus are
not permitted in this temple as per the temple rule. She however had
managed to enter the temple. When she was questioned by the temple
authorities she replied that she had been converted to Hinduism.
