Now IT (Information
Technology) has the role of protecting wild life. Studies have proved that
endangered wild life can be saved by using wireless sensing networks.
Besides protecting wild life; the sensors can control pollution in rivers
also.
Indian Institute of
Information Technology (Allahabad), Director has said that "these sensors
would work for longer period as forty years in order to have most accurate
information. Similarly, sensors would be developed in controlling the
pollution in rivers. In the first phase, around ten kilometer of river would
be undertaken for the experimental basis. Smart toilets would be developed
by the institute where through the urinal of the person, every kind of
diseases can be easily detected with the help of a pathological lab
connected to toilets”.
Eminent personalities
in the United States, Singapore and Korea would join to bring sensor
networking successful.
Prof US Tiwari, Dean
Academics said that Next Generation Networks (NGN) is converged voice / data
multi-service networks that operate in a multi-vendor environment. NGNs
require an architecture that provides seamless integration of both new and
traditional telecommunications services across high - speed packet networks,
interworking among clients of heterogeneous capabilities.
The architecture and
implementation of the Next Generation Network (NGN) must be based on open,
standard-based interfaces and protocols. This is essential to achieve
multi-vendor inter working and to accelerate the rate on innovation. It is
also well accepted that the NGN must also be based on a distributed
architecture that helps greatly to reduce the implementation costs while
giving flexibility in the actual deployment.
The NGN must be able
to support highly customizable services that are easily and rapidly created
as well as deployed economically throughout the network. While it is
important to enable new services, it is also critical to preserve the
existing services provided by the legacy network.
