Doha
(Qatar): One of the best airlines servicing Gulf sector, Qatar
Airways (QA), is all set to operate its Kozhikode service. Its
Doha-Kozhikode (Calicut) service will begin on June 15.
The new
destination, the third largest city in Kerala is expected to be a
profitable sector. QA has its operations in Thiruvananthapuram and
Kochi already.
Giving
excitement to thousands of Malabar expatriates and tourists from
Qatar and Arab world, Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar
al-Baker announced its new service. "Our new route to
Kozhikode further demonstrates our commitment to this vibrant
country and we are extremely pleased to see the route selling well
with just a few days to go before the launch." - he said to media.
Kozhikode
is the ninth destination of Qatar Airways in India and 83 around
world.
Kozhikode
is famous for its beautiful greenery, historical places, Ayurveda
and charming beaches.
Kozhikode to host National Women's Chess

35th National Women's B Chess Championship will begin
on June 6 in Kozhikode. Top 200 women players including
international Women grand masters,
FIDE
masters will join the race. First contest will be at 4 pm on June
6.Championship will conclude on June 14.
