Pictures are not mere
artistic expressions to these three European women. It’s the result of a
serene and blessed silence that they acquired in God’s own country.
They have been searching for
the roots of Vedic Art and reached India, the land of origin of Vedic
scriptures. After a study of the different aspects of the Vedic art and a
tour of this land, sketches are prepared and exhibited at Shrishti Art
Gallery in Kozhikode.
The pictures speak to us
about self-consciousness and self-realization; how the inner self of human
lives are merged with the ultimate truth.
‘Silence is the origin of
creativity. The freedom of expressing oneself in true sense is the beauty of
every art.’ -says Prikko Huttenen-Nieminen.
Most of the paintings are
made of acrylic and tempera on canvas while few others, oil on canvas.
“We (Human Beings) are
blessed with knowledge and creativity, right within us and we are exploring
it through art. This is a platform for realizing our own freedom of
expression.’-say these artists.
This exhibition is an honor
to Curt Kullman; the late founder of the Vedic Art .He had believed and
dreamt that the art should go back to India, the land of Vedas.
