Continuity of left rule necessary, says V.S.

LDF rally at Kozhikode beach.
- Apr 09, 2011 By M. Rajesh

Kozhikode: Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan has appealed voters to break the existing system of changing turns of both fronts each time and underscored the need of continuity of LDF government to book the treasury looters and sex mafias. Addressing LDF rally in Kozhikode, he said he had no vengeance on opponents as R. Balakrishna Pillai and Oommen Chandy said,”

‘I have no revenge on anyone; however there is no compromise with robbers and sexual exploiters’,
Even Gandhians like Anna Hazare in the country were fed up with the corruption at centre, he said while mentioning the 2G spectrum and Adarsh flat scams.

“The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said that he was helpless regarding spectrum scam involved by A. Raja, the former telecom minister, representing one of his coalition partners. But the Supreme Court didn’t allow that helplessness and sent Raja to Tihar Jail.

“Here in Kerala a former minister and another Kerala Congress man has entered into Poojappura Central Jail. Many are yet to be arrested. If the LDF lose the rule, many of the corrupted leaders and the exploiters would be escaped.”-V.S pointed out.

“The central government is corrupted. Due to the central policy, the price of petroleum products have increased tremendously, causing huge burden on common men. On the other hand the LDF is trying to reduce the price hike by intervening in the market effectively.” I.V Shashankan presided over the function.

Hundreds of people assembled in the beach to listen the short and sharp words of V.S. The Police had a tough time to control the admirers of V.S. to get him down from his car.
