The excitement has reached to its climax. Schools in Kerala are re-opened on June 01 after the summer vacation for two months. New kids for first standard will move with anxious minds and smiling face to the schools. Definitely, schooling is not the same as one decade ago. The figure of teacher as ‘monsters’ has no place in new age kids’ mind. School corridors are decorated with colors and paintings to welcome the bright new children. A fun packed pavilion is one of the major attractions of modern education. Schools celebrate the opening day.

What is the most important thing in a small school kid’s life? Is it love and care of teachers? A patient and understanding mind with an eye for care and love must be the hall- mark of a good, creative teacher as rightly pointed out by educational experts and thinkers.

Children had enough space to enjoy their vacation with as many as games and entertainments. Small towns and cities had organized summer camps and entertaining events for children during the summer vacation. Fun trips and fantastic games have filled young minds with passion and fantasy. 

Kids can choose their favorite brands of bags and umbrellas, even note books, pens and water bottles thanks to the information explosion through various media. Catching advertisements targeting young hearts are enough on the screens and streets.

Attracting new children to the primary schools has been a strenuous task on the part of the school management and teachers. This is the time of measuring the performance of each school.
