Malayalees’ passion for evergreen melodies still continues. 

If it is Vayalar’s songs, his fans forget everything and enjoy the depth of the classics that inspire and rejuvenate them. They enter the valleys of love, fantasy, philosophy and devotion.   

People from different walks of life participated in the Vayalar memorial speech, song and poem recital at Sports Council Hall in Kozhikode. 

Yuvakalasahithy organized the commemorating ceremony and Smruthymadhuram, a presentation of Vayalar’s poems and film songs. Vayalar’s memory was filled in the heart and mind of the fans gathered there. 

Dr.R.V.M Divakaran and Dr.Sharath Mannur depicted the life and works of Vayalar Rama Varma. “The sublime thoughts, images and classic beauty of Vayalar’s poems and melodies guided Malayalam literature into higher levels of perfection”-noted the speakers.   

Kairali TV Patturumal fame Drishya Sujith began her song ‘Mattuvin Chattangale’ followed by Suneesh Mankave with his song ‘Swarnathamara Ithalilurangum’. Manju Bhashini (Dhaneesh);Manathum Daivamilla (Ahamed Koya); Upasana (Satheesh Kumar), Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal (Drishya Sujith) and others were the golden lyrics of the evening. 

C.M Kesavan presided over the function. T.Hassan welcomed the gathering and T.Shinodh expressed vote of thanks.
