Three day long art and cultural program has begun at Kalandithazham, Chelavur as part of Darsanam Samskarika Vedi’s office inauguration. 

Poet and Jnanpeeth laureate O.N.V.Kurup has inaugurated Darsanam Samskarika Vedi Library at a function held at Darsanam premises at Kalandithazham, Chelavur in Kozhikode.                                                     

District Library Council secretary K.C.Chandran Master presided over the function.

Information and Public Relations Deputy Director S.Nasar gave away prizes to best performers in various fields. 

P.K.Gopi welcomed the gathering. Ward Councilor MP Hameed, Darsanam Library Secretary MA Johnson spoke. 

M.Vishnu Nampoothiri expressed vote of thanks.

An orchestra, based on ONV’s songs by Chengannur Sreekumar added color to the evening event. Art wing of Darsanam performed various music and dance items. 

District Collector Dr.P.B Saleem will be honored on 6^th January among eminent personalities in various fields. The f unction will be followed by a symposium on Gandhism, Marxism and Democracy. 

O.Abdu Rahiman, K.T.Kunhikkannan, T.Sidhique, P.S.Sreedharan Pillai, I.V.Sasankan will participate in the debate .N.P.Chekkutty will be the moderator. 

Darsanam’s office building will be inaugurated by M.P.Achuthan M.P.A.Prdaeep Kumar MLA will preside over the function on 7^th January. 

Kerala State Library Council President Adv.P.K.Harikumar will be the chief guest.P.K.Gopi will deliver key note address. 

Novelist P.Valsala will inaugurate M.N.Sathyarthi Pravasi Patana Kendram .Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Secretary Dr.P.V.Krishnan Nair will inaugurate Darsana Kala Vedi.
