To her, every tiny aspect in Nature is precious. She
catches the glimpses of such small things into her paintings like the
‘Love of ants’ in an aesthetic manner. She explores the freedom of
imagination in the painting titled ‘Railway Station in 1950'
‘Some leaves are equally beautiful as flowers
and butterflies. So, leaves have a significant role in my works.”-says
Shirin.

Apart from the influence of Nature, sometimes even a
poem can inspire her to depict a new image. One of her paintings was such an
inspiration piece of a popular poem by Madhusoodhanan Nair.
‘As kites, ‘A fantasy of freedom, In Bond, Blue
valley, Kinavu, AViolet Night are among the sixty paintings exhibited in
the show.
She has also used cubic designs, a contemporary form of
art.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. M. K. Muneer,
Minister for Social Welfare in the presence of many distinguished guests.
