Kozhikode:
VS Achuthanandan, the chief minister of Kerala arrives here
at Onchiyam, Orkkatteri to attend a CPM Rally amid the political turmoil
which has been prevailing in this area for quite a couple of months after
the resignation of CPM President of Eramala Panchayat.
After series of conventions and public meetings of the
struggling CPM in Onchiyam area, at last brought the charismatic leader
Achuthanadan into the scene to convince the general public. He said that the
CPM should strengthen its base here, so that the ousted party members should
cordially come back to CPM in the area committee, local committee, and
branch committees as well. “The party is like a family, and if a problem
arises in the family, children naturally come back to family after the
advice of their parents.”
Fractional leaders are of the opinion that what VS said at
Orkkateri was agreeing of our stand and ideology. Since CPM leaders like
Pinarayi Vijayan, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, and E.P Jayarajan never said
anything in their meetings to try and bring back the ousted party members.
But we believe that the words of Achuthanandan is the words
of Achuthanandan only, and we are sure CPM Onchiyam area committee or
district committee would never take a decision otherwise.
We are yet to see the implications and the effect of
Achuthandans speech here.
Lok Sabha elections are on the way and the fractions here
have already made their strong base in the various areas of Eramala, Azhiyur,
chorode, Villiappally and even at Vatakara. This may be a serious problem
for CPM and the LDF as well. DYFI Revolutionary, a youth organization, and
a Trade Union and the various committees has already been formed to
strengthen their presence. It is in fact a serious headache for CPM in this
area in the coming elections.
