women's team emerges winners :
THENJIPPALAM: The hosts, Calicut University won South-West Interversity
Women's Kho-kho championship by 6 points. The competitions were held at
Calicut University stadium. Pune University won the second position (4
points) and Mumbai emerged third (2 points) and Mysore won fourth place.
The above
four teams have qualified to compete in all India meet. In yesterday's
semi league Calicut defeated Mumbai (16-12) and toppled Pune at 9-8. The
winners were given medals by head of Calicut sports division Dr K P Manoj.
