POLY CLINIC PVT LTD, THRISSUR:.I was introduced to various
immunological, biochemical and bacteriological methods for 15 days.
INTEGRATED FISHERIES PROJECT, ERANAKULAM: which is a fish
processing unit of the agriculture and animal husbandry department under
Central Government. I was introduced to various food preservation techniques
like Canning, Pickling etc for duration of 30 days.
PROJECT: DESCRIPTION
•M.Sc: Project entitled “A comparative study on the
antibacterial activity of traditional Indian medicinal plants against MRSA
and MSSA”.Some of the common medicinal plants with possible antimicrobial
activity was tested against pyogenic infection causing Staphylococcus aureus
including Methicillin resistant and methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus
aureus(MRSA and MSSA).The results of this study indicated that the crude
extracts of Caesalpinia suppan had showed greatest antimicrobial activity
against MRSA and MSSA.Terminalia bellirica,Cassia fistula,and Anacardium
occidentale were also found to be effective. The crude extracts of Pongamina
pinnata,Phyllanthus reticulates and Azadirachta indica were weakly effective
against skin disease causing MRSA strains.
