Climate
  

The climate of the district is tropical. The obvious fact which strikes an observer, according to Logan, is the uniformity of  temperature in the Malabar area. During dry weather, hot winds blow from the burning plains of Coimbatore through the Palakkad gap. Palakkad district has uniform rainfall as well.
